Dezeen Showroom: made by Belgian brand Modulyss, the Rust carpet tile collection provides a gentle, organically patterned, tone-on-tone option for interior flooring.

Created in-house by designer Joris Peutz, the Rust carpet tiles were conceived with reference to how water can transform surfaces.

The Rust pattern is inspired by the effect of water on different elements

“Much like how rust introduces rich textures to surfaces, crafting mesmerising patterns and captivating variations, this loop pile collection transforms your space into an inviting environment,” said Modulyss.

The Rust collection is available in a curated palette of 12 colours, incorporating earthy browns, olive greens and soft blues and greys. The tiles can be mixed-and-matched with other Modulyss designs.

The Rust collection is made of ECONYL yarn, made from 100 per cent recycled nylon waste.

This is combined with Modulyss’ comfortBACK ECO, a shock-absorbing and noise-reducing carpet tile backing made from polyolefin with a minimum 60 per cent recycled content.
