    Ilse Crawford, Teo Yang and Benjamin Hubert named as Dezeen Awards 2025 judges

    Interior designer Ilse Crawford, designers Teo Yang and Benjamin Hubert and architect Olajumoke Adenowo will judge this year’s Dezeen Awards.

    Launched earlier this month, Dezeen Awards 2025 in partnership with Bentley will reward this year’s best architecture, interiors and design from around the world. Enter your projects by 23:59 London time on 26 March to save 20 per cent on the entry fee.

    Read on to find out more about the first four leading industry professionals who will join this year’s judging panel:

    Designer Ilse Crawford is one of this year’s interiors judges

    British designer and founder of Studioilse Crawford will join the interiors panel for Dezeen Awards 2025. The London-based multi-disciplinary studio has completed over a hundred projects, from domestic residences and hotels to commercial, hospitality and retail.

    Landmark projects include Soho House in New York, the first Aesop store in London and Ett Hem Hotel in Stockholm, as well as a collection of furniture, lighting and accessories made using sustainable materials for IKEA.

    With over thirty years at the forefront of international design, Crawford has received several accolades, including an MBE and a CBE in 2021 for services to design.

    South Korean designer Teo Yang specialises in residential and commercial projects

    Joining Crawford on the interiors judging panel is South Korean designer Yang, whose work is informed by traditional Korean techniques and crafts.

    Based in Seoul, the designer runs his eponymous practice Teoyang Studio, which specialises in residential and commercial projects, as well as furniture brand Eastern Edition, skincare brand Earth Library and fragrance company Sinang.

    Yang’s work has gained international recognition and been featured by publisher Phaidon. He earned the AD 100 award in 2022 and was recently shortlisted for interior designer of the year for Dezeen Awards 2024.

    Founder of creative agency Layer, Benjamin Hubert will sit on the design panel

    British designer Hubert, who is the founder of creative agency Layer, will join this year’s design judging panel.

    Hubert has collaborated with numerous companies, including sportswear brand Nike and tech company Google. He has also worked with electronics brands Bang & Olufsen, Samsung and Braun to create products ranging from smart wearables and furniture to AI and technology designs.

    Projects by Layer include a sustainable foamless modular mattress for Chinese start-up Mazzu, a compact electric bicycle with a U-shaped frame, and a hardware wallet that stores cryptocurrency for French technology brand Ledger.

    Nigerian architect Olajumoke Adenowo is the founder of architecture and interior design firm AD Consulting

    Joining this year’s architecture panel is Nigerian architect Adenowo, the founder of AD Consulting, an architecture and interior design firm based in Lagos.

    She has worked on more than 139 projects that span institutional buildings, office complexes, and mixed-use developments to private residences, healthcare and educational facilities.

    Adenowo has received several awards, including Forbes woman African entrepreneur in 2020 and new African businesswoman of the year in 2016. She has also served as a juror for the Cartier women’s initiative awards.
