    Dezeen Showroom: woollen rugs resembling the side profiles of human faces are among 11 new products featured on Dezeen Showroom.

    Talk Talk rugs by Jaime Hayon for Nanimarquina

    Abstracted human faces crop up frequently in the work of artist Jaime Hayon. The artist’s motif is now the basis for a woollen rug produced by Spanish design brand Nanimarquina in collaboration with Hayon.

    Talk Talk rugs come in three muted colourways and multiple size options, which can be used alone or in groups that appear to converse with one another.

    The rugs were recently featured on Dezeen Showroom alongside a chair that has a seat made from lengths of upcycled fire hoses and a rereleased 1970s sofa designed after a type of fruit.

    Repurposed fire hoses formerly used by the Swiss fire service wrap around an iroko wood frame in this chair by designer Sebastian Alberdi for Swiss eco home brand Füür.

    The Eiger garden chair‘s distinctive taut strap seat comes in Red, Stone and Green colourways, which originally corresponded to their diameter when used in fire fighting.

    Lanes acoustic system by Autex Acoustics

    Acoustic solutions brand Autex Acoustics has released a series of wall-mounted panels that create visual interest while controlling noise levels.

    Lanes acoustic system comes in three styles – Peak, Plane and Sawtooth – all of which are made from 100 per cent compressed polyester fibre and available in various colourways.

    Italian company Antolini has applied a three dimensional pinstriped texture to its richly-veined Silver Stream marble.

    Silver Stream Stratos Finish contrasts the naturally occurring striation of the stone with dead-straight, machine-carved texture to create a dramatic finish for interiors.

    Cube acoustic panels by Autex Acoustics

    Autex Acoustics’ Cube acoustic panels have a mottled surface that recalls the appearance of woollen textiles, thanks to its compressed felt materiality.

    The panels can be applied in a range of ways, from entire wall coverings in one uniform colour to fragmented two- or three-tone compositions, creating a pixel-like aesthetic.

    Originally released 20 years ago, the parasol has overlapping paddles that open like a fan. Its pole can now be affixed with a circular pouf seat or small round table for additional functionality.

    Rounded seats with segmented detailing characterise the iconic Pumpkin chair by French designer Pierre Paulin.

    Originally released in the 1970s, the chair has been rereleased by furniture company Ligne Roset and is available in various neutral or vivid colourways.
