Dezeen Showroom: trapezoidal hand-blown glass elements come together in a ring to form the Polaris chandelier by Los Angeles-based design studio Bianco Light + Space.

Forming part of the studio’s Tessellation series, Polaris‘ glass elements are attached to a brass fixture that can be decorated with braided leather rope.

Polaris is made up of trapezoidal glass modules

The geometric design was informed by repeating patterns and aims to combine symmetry and tessellation with lighting.

“The hand-crafted trapezoidal glass cones and architectural brass provide a beautiful directional glow exuding an elemental simplicity,” said Bianco Light + Space.
