Dezeen Showroom: German brand Dornbracht has released a shower fitting that takes the form of a flat panel recessed seamlessly into ceilings, which has two modes that harness the power of water.
Dornbracht worked with Dr Christoph Stumpe – an expert in traditional Chinese medicine – to develop two flow modes for Serenity Sky that leverage the wellbeing benefits of water: Full Rain and Purify Rain.
Full Rain manifests as sheet of full-coverage droplets that fall consistently, whereas Purify Rain activates a single jet of water for efficient hair washing and cleansing.
“For decades, Dornbracht has drawn on knowledge from wellness and health research to integrate the benefits of hydrotherapy into its own product world – thus creating meditative and invigorating moments of happiness in everyday life,” said the brand.
Serenity Sky was designed to blend seamlessly into a variety of bathroom styles thanks to its minimal, sleek form and its multiple metallic finish options that users can select from.
It is suitable for use in tandem with other Dornbracht fixtures and fittings, and can be specified with an integrated, smartphone-controlled, colour-changing lighting system that provides different mood lighting.
