Dezeen Showroom: Italian brand Lodes worked with designer Patrick Norguet on a slender light that mimics the appearance of long-stemmed mushrooms.

Named Kinno, the lamp is designed to be staked directly into soil and is part of Lodes‘ first outdoor lighting collection, aptly named Lodes Outdoor.

Kinno has an overall mushroom-like shape as well as organic detailing

The designer intended for its organic form to blend seamlessly into outdoor areas, while casting a gentle glow from the light fitting integrated into its head.

Despite its delicate silhouette, the light was designed to be robust and able to withstand even the harshest weather conditions.

The lights can be dotted along outdoor walkways

Like all of Lodes’ outdoor lights, Kinno is available in various earthy hues, including brown, black and dark green, and is comprised of replaceable and modular components to extend its lifespan.

“Our approach to outdoor lighting is innovative and unconventional, offering solutions that are both functional and decorative,” said Lodes’ managing director Massimiliano Tosetto.
