Dezeen Showroom: Italian materials and craftsmanship are celebrated in the Ria coffee table, an elegant stone and wood piece by US brand Maiden Home.

The Ria coffee table‘s top is made of travertine stone sourced from a quarry in Tivoli. It is cut, honed and sealed in a family-run workshop where the art of stone cutting has been passed down through generations.

The Ria coffee table combines travertine stone and walnut wood

Prized for its gentle golden hue, the travertine stone is supported by smooth Canaletto walnut legs, whose curves echo the rounded lines of the tabletop and evoke the organic forms of elements in nature.

The legs are also handcrafted in Italy, by master artisans in the craft of barrel making.

The Ria table is available in two variations – a smaller square version and a larger rectangular one – both serving as a classic and refined centrepiece for living spaces.

Maiden Home was founded as e-commerce business in 2017 and went on to open its flagship store in New York City in 2023. It designs its pieces in-house and works with artisans around the world to bring them to life.
