Dezeen Showroom: Spanish brand Vondom and Catalan designer Eugeni Quitllet have added a capacious sofa to their Africa outdoor seating collection.

The Africa sofa is one of the latest additions to the range designed by Quitllet in collaboration with Vondom, arising at a time when the designer and brand were adding upholstered options to the existing monobloc line.

The Africa sofa is made for socialising

The collection is known for the fluid and delicate lines that it achieves with its design, which distinguishes it from conventional monobloc plastic garden furniture.

The sofa, which is available in two- and three-seater variations, continues the design language of the original chairs while including a plump seat cushion covered in weather-resistant fabric.

Vondom says the piece is at home in both residential and contract environments and that its colour palette has been carefully curated to create an elegant statement.

“Whether on an urban terrace, next to a swimming pool or in a lounge by the sea, this piece invites you to sit down, to share, to let time pass,” said the brand.
