Dezeen Showroom: Italian stone brand Antolini has released an unusually dynamic black-and-white marble named Cipollino GreyWave that is characterised by its monochromatic aesthetic.

Part of the brand’s Exclusive collection, Cipollino GreyWave is distinguished by veins that come together in a wave-like pattern, creating a bold interplay of pure white, grey and dark charcoal.

Cipollino GreyWave features unusual, dynamic veining

“These veins twist and converge, part and rejoin, forming a complex visual language that no human hand could replicate – an organic, unrepeatable pattern sculpted by geological forces over millennia,” said Antolini.

According to Antolini, Cipollino GreyWave pulses with energy while also bringing a sense of calm through its expanses of icy white, which evoke the slow movement of ancient glaciers.

It creates an eye-catching effect in interior spaces

“This paradox of stillness and movement makes Cipollino GreyWave more than a decorative surface — it becomes a narrative element within architectural composition,” said Antolini. “It conveys both strength and sensitivity, making it ideal for spaces where emotion and materiality intersect.”

The brand recommends Cipollino GreyWave for designers who want to create dramatic surfaces within interiors, across both walls and floors.
