The Frank Lloyd Wright Foundation has partnered with Victory Cruise Line on a series of onboard lectures about the American architect’s life, as well as visits to projects such as Unity Temple in Chicago.

The programming will be part of the 2025 cruises from Victory Cruise Line (Victory), which primarily operates small-ship sailing around the Great Lakes and along the east coast of Canada.

The partnership includes education programming about Wright’s life curated by the Taliesin Institute and visits to sites such as Wright’s Smith House in Detroit and the Meyer May House in Grand Rapids.

The programming comprises a portion of the larger, ten-day cruises operated by Victory. The ships will run between Chicago’s Navy Pier and Toronto. It also includes pre-cruise visits to Unity Temple in Chicago and the architect’s home and studio in Oak Park.

“Led by the Foundation’s Taliesin Institute, the scholar-led journeys offer guests a rare chance to explore Wright’s visionary architecture through the lens of a living legacy,” said Frank Lloyd Wright Foundation associate vice president of partnerships Emily Butler.

“Our goal at the Foundation is to help inspire more intentional, connected, and thoughtful ways of living today, and what better way than working with the Victory Cruise Line team to connect our guests to Wright’s legacy of intentional design?”

Other stops include visits to private residences such as the Amberg House in Grand Rapids, while the lecture series will highlight “Frank Lloyd Wright’s life, work and enduring legacy” according to the team.

The Foundation has implemented a series of wide-ranging and often surprising collaborations in the last few years. It partnered with Lindal Cedar Homes to create purchasable house plans for homeowners and Kith and New Balance on a pair of sneakers.
