    Dezeen Showroom: multipurpose objects made from ash and MDF that can function as tables, stools and plinths are among eight new products on Dezeen Showroom.

    Everything Series One table by Skewed

    Everything Series One table by Skewed

    Swedish furniture brand Skewed has released its maiden furniture collection, which includes a multifunctional piece made from solid wood.

    Four screws hold each Everything Series One table together, connecting two CNC milled legs and a round tabletop. They come in various sizes to suit a range of purposes.

    The tables were recently featured on Dezeen Showroom alongside a chunky side table made from aluminium and a range of worktables informed by a midcentury British subculture.

    Taso tray table by Cecilie Manz for Nikari

    Finnish furniture brand Nikari has created a pair of trolley-like furniture pieces that aim to provide portable surfaces for the home.

    An oak or ash frame characterises the Taso tray table, which features either one or two deep trays for storing and displaying everyday objects.

    Teddy tables and workstations by Zenith

    Australian office furniture brand Zenith looked to a subculture from 1950s Britain when designing this range of tables for workplaces.

    Teddy tables take aesthetic cues from clothing worn by Teddy Boys, characterised by structured garments and flamboyant colours.

    Letsweave tables by LyZadie Design Studio

    Traditional Māori weaving techniques were referenced in this range of tables created by New Zealand-based LyZadie Design Studio.

    The Letsweave tables come in various size formats united by their distinctively decorative tabletops, which are inlaid with reclaimed kauri and rimu wood.

    Mosaic fabric by Kapitza for Designtex

    US textile company Designtex worked with London-based design studio Kapitza to develop this geometrically patterned material.

    Mosaic fabric has a faceted, colourful aesthetic reminiscent of mosaics, where broken pieces of tile come together to form fragmented patterns.

    Dutch office furniture brand Ahrend worked with architect and UNStudio founder Ben van Berkel on a task chair informed by the aesthetic and ergonomic properties of athletic shoes.

    The Remode task chair boasts a myriad of sustainable credentials and comes in three colourways for use in both home offices and workplaces.

    Cubio side table by Formarkivet

    Thick legs support an equally chunky tabletop in this characterful side table designed by Danish design brand Formarkivet.

    The Cubio side table is made from aluminium and comes in either raw metal or a powder-coated beige finish.

    Two-tone wooden door furniture is included in this range of fittings by Australian interior studio YSG for design brand Bankston Architectural.

    Kooky Streaker door levers share the rest of the collection’s stripy appearance, and aim to add visual interest to doors.
