Dezeen Showroom: Spanish brand Texfel has released a system of acoustic panels that have a contrasting inner layer revealed through patterned grooves.

Grooves Duo is made from a dual layer of PET felt that is thermally bonded into a single bi-colour panel.

Grooves Duo has lines cut into titse surface that reveal a differently coloured internal layer

The internal colour shows through V-shaped lines etched into the panels’ top layer, creating a dynamic surface that offers companies the opportunity to personalise them through their selection of colours combinations.

Grooves Duo comes in a selection of 33 hues, and its clean, precise lines create a refined aesthetic across ceilings and floors while dampening excess sound.

Grooves Duo is made of a minimum of 60 per cent post-consumer recycled PET, and as a monomaterial design, it is fully recyclable at the end of its lifespan.

“Intended for professionals seeking expressive, high-performance materials, Grooves Duo combines visual impact, acoustic comfort and environmental responsibility,” said Texfel.

“Ideal for hospitality, workplace, retail or cultural environments, it enables customisation without compromising simplicity, sustainability or technical reliability.”
