    This week on Dezeen, we showcased Dream Recorder by Dutch studio Modem, which is a bedside device that replays dreams as short videos.

    Designed as a modern version of dream journaling, the device uses AI to generate a video reel based on people’s recollections of their dreams.

    In other design news, Bentley unveiled a simplified logo that it stated was the “biggest change” to its emblem in its 100-year history.

    The redesigned Winged B emblem has more angular, stylised wings with a diamond pattern, while the feathers below the central B have been removed.

    We looked at the security infrastructure of Glastonbury

    Following Glastonbury festival last week, we looked at the creeping security infrastructure at the UK’s biggest festival.

    “Glastonbury is not an escape from the real world but a snapshot of what is to come,” wrote Phineas Harper in an opinion piece.

    The long-awaited Los Angeles County Museum of Art was revealed

    In the USA, the long-awaited Los Angeles County Museum of Art expansion by architect Peter Zumthor was revealed ahead of its opening next year.

    The building, which has been more than 20 years in the making, is now complete and ready to be filled with art.

    A video showed the Shanghai Grand Opera House nearing completion

    Another project nearing completion is the Shanghai Grand Opera House in China, which was revealed in a video this week. Designed by architecture studio Snøhetta, the building has a dramatic spiral staircase that extends to the roof.

    Following the news, we took a look at five projects by the studio that have walkable roofs.

    A house in Germany was one of June’s houses of the month

    As June ended, we looked back on the best houses published on Dezeen over the past month.

    The houses of the month for June included a pair of gabled homes (above) in Germany and a bushfire-resilient family home in Australia.

    Popular projects this week included a subterranean concrete dome designed by Tadao Ando for an Antony Gormley installation, a U-shaped house overlooking Austin and a domed house in California.

    This week’s lookbooks focused on bathrooms with elegant terrazzo interiors and interiors with secret rooms.
