Dezeen Showroom: cabinetry brand Fronteriors worked with American interior design studio Prime Projects on a range of cabinet fronts with arc-shaped details designed to be combined with IKEA storage.

The Curved cabinetry collection is characterised by a decorative groove that runs within the edge of the cabinet fronts, culminating in a round-edged square shape at the top.

Fronteriors creates cabinet fronts for use in conjunction with IKEA cupboards

“With its gently contoured profile, Curved offers a refined alternative to traditional flat-panel cabinetry, creating depth and movement in kitchens, wardrobes and media units,” said Fronteriors.

The collection is compatible with IKEA’s Sektion, Metod, Besta and Pax cabinets, allowing users to benefit from the accessibility and modularity of the IKEA catalogue while bringing a bespoke aesthetic to interiors.

The range debuts alongside three collection-specific colourways

The launch includes three colourways specific to the range: soft yellow Butter, dark blue Midnight and deep red Burgundy. Users can also select any of the standard colours in Fronteriors’ palette, as well as custom colours upon request.

Fronteriors and Prime Projects intend for the understated and timeless design of the cabinets to allow them to be seamlessly integrated in both contemporary and traditional interiors.
