Experimental clothing brand Vollebak designed the prototype wooden jacket made from 250,000 laser-cut pieces of American walnut, with the aim of showcasing the potential of wood as a material for clothing.
This week’s newsletter also featured Gensler’s unveiling of a football stadium with a sunken pitch for Egypt, the announcement that construction has begun on the first segment of The Line megacity and the launch of the Shaping Water Competition, which invites designers to create an installation for Clerkenwell Design Week.
