Dezeen Showroom: created by interior designers YSG for Australian brand Bankston Architectural, these door handles are decorated with stripes of alternating coloured timber.
As well as its distinctively striped appearance, Kooky Streaker door furniture is made more unique by its 45-degree tilted orientation that Bankston Architectural says “shifts perceptions of a door’s purpose”.

Kooky Streaker is part of a wider collection named The Streaks, which comprises two-tone levers, pulls and knobs in various scales and sizes.
All items in the range are made from FSC-certified timbers with the exception of a few pieces cast in patinated bronze, for those seeking to mix and match finishes.

“The Streaks is what happens when you marry perception-challenging design with the unadulterated beauty of timber,” said Bankston Architectural co-CEO Steve Bradley.
“We feel that each piece in The Streaks collection is like a little personality in itself – bold, cheeky and full of energy. It’s a reminder that great design isn’t just about form and function, but about having fun along the way.”
