Dezeen Showroom: Catalan designer Eugeni Quitllet worked with Spanish brand Vondom on an outdoor dining chair that aims to encapsulate the architecture and atmosphere of New York City.

The Madison chair comes in four colourways for the frame, and four seat and backrest styles, including resin slats, perforated, soft-touch and a wood-like option.

Users can choose between four colourways and four styles

The seats can be used indoors but were created with outdoor use in mind, thanks to being informed by buzzy Manhattan streets, whereby the designer recognised the fusion between heritage and modernity.

“Madison reflects that vital attitude of the big city, a place where deep-rooted traditions mingle with the modern pulse,” said Quitllet. “The result is a piece that embraces comfort, but with that unmistakable Vondom touch.”

“The essence of a Manhattan street that still retains its energy and has been able to adapt to the passage of time to remain a reference of both architectural style and the New Yorker way of living,” Quitllet continued.
