Dezeen Showroom: Italian kitchen brand Valcucine‘s founder and in-house designer Gabriele Centazzo has created a built-in kitchen storage system concealed by streamlined panelling.

The brand’s New Logica storage panels comprise shelving with an integrated lighting system that sits behind tilting and sliding panels – the former covering upper shelves, and the latter sitting in front of the lower shelves.

New Logica storage panels conceal a variety of functional elements

Valcucine aimed to streamline the processes of preparation, cooking and cleaning by integrating storage, a dish rack, shelving, bottle holders, rotating containers, and even a zone to allow for hydroponic cultivation at home.

There is also a built-in system of electrical outlets to allow for small appliances to be utilised and stored within.

The panels have a clean, uncluttered aesthetic when both open and closed

“Valcucine has always distinguished itself for its focus on human wellbeing through the pursuit of solutions that enhance daily interaction with the kitchen,” said Valcucine.

“Perfect interaction with kitchen cabinets increases their usefulness and performances and makes using them a better experience.”

The panel fronts have balancing mechanisms that allow them to be opened and closed with gentle, light touches, making them appealing to use. The components can also be specified in a selection of finishes.
