From exhibitions of historic design, such as designer Poul Kjærholm‘s furniture, to a collection of miniatures by Japanese retailer Muji and the much-talked-about freshman fair Shelter, here are 16 must-see events during this year’s NYCxDesign.
New York’s yearly design festival is set to start next week with a plethora of events celebrating the design culture of the city.
After a strong emphasis on themed group shows last year, 2025’s edition is likely to follow suit, with a variety of multi-designer shows filling spaces from Manhattan lofts to a former radio broadcast station.
A loose organisation of events, the fair is anchored by trade fair ICFF at the Jacob K Javits Convention Center in Midtown, while right down the road, newcomer fair Shelter is seeking to become a hub for the week.
