Dezeen Showroom: Finnish furniture brand Nikari has designed a solid timber trolley in collaboration with Danish designer Cecilie Manz.
Deviating from conventional trolleys by its lack of wheels, the stationary Taso trolley aims to provide an “intuitive extra surface wherever needed”.
Despite it static nature, Taso aims to provide useful additional storage in all areas of the home, from living spaces and kitchens to bedrooms and quiet corners.
Its cross-shaped base supports either one or two tiers of enclosed, shelf-like surfaces, which are traversed over the top by a handle-like portion of the frame.
“Taso is a versatile furniture that belongs anywhere in the house where an extra surface is needed,” said designer Cecilie Manz. “In typology, it’s a bit like a trolley that stands still, an in-between-kind of furniture, that doesn’t need much explanation in use.”
It is available in two sizes and users can select from either solid oak or ash wood.
