Dezeen Showroom: new patterns that mimic the appearance of marble and stone have been added to tile manufacturer Marazzi‘s collection of natural-looking surfaces.

The range, named The Top, comprises a series of large-scale slabs designed for a range of applications – from tabletops to backsplashes and doors – across kitchens and bathrooms.

    The Top by Marazzi
The Top collection is made from porcelain stoneware

Among the new designs is the Calacatta Supreme, which is informed by striated Italian marble, alongside stone-like Jura and Infinity finishes.

Defined by sleek, textured designs, the surfaces come in matt, satin and glossy finishes and are equipped with antibacterial properties.

The slabs can be used for a variety of surfaces

“The Top materials evoke sediments rich in marine fossils, pebbles with the deep, dark colour of quartzite, and the delicate veining of Calacatta marble,” the Marazzi.

As well as being resistant and easy to install, The Top slabs are made in closed-cycle production lines that recovers waste materials.
