Dezeen Showroom: Italian brand Casalgrande Padana has published an array of products on Dezeen, including tiles from its Terrae collection and a newly-released table.

In a departure from Casalgrande Padana‘s tile-centred catalogue, the brand’s recent releases include a table topped with large stone tiles in various shapes and sizes.

The tabletops are both decorative and practical

Convivialis tables come in dining, side and coffee table iterations, each available in a choice of stone finishes, including those with dramatic striations and inclusions.

They are treated with the brand’s Bios Antibacterial technology, which allows them to eliminate 99 per cent of bacteria, according to the company. Casalgrande Padana explained that this creates a hygienic surface for dining.

The brand has also released a collection of tiles named Terrae, including a colourway named Caramel that has a warm, fawn-toned hue reminiscent of the confectionary it is named after.

Similar to the other tiles in the range, Caramel comes in a range of size formats and thicknesses making it useful in a variety of applications.

The Tortora tiles are named after the Italian for dove

The collection’s Tortora tiles have a soft grey-brown hue that recalls the colour of a dove’s feathers.

A range of three-dimensional patterns can be applied to all of the Terrae collection tiles, giving them a tactile, dimensional aesthetic.

Appropriately named Tabacco, this colourway has a smoky grey tone that is designed to have a calming affect when installed both indoors and outdoors.

These can be applied to both walls and floors, creating cohesive schemes across surfaces.

Like all tiles in this collection, the Beige tiles can be specified with an anti-slip coating that makes them suitable for use outdoors on patios and walkways.

All Terrae tiles have a mottled surface appearance that recalls the aesthetic of natural materials such as clay.

Since 1960, Casalgrande Padana has been creating, developing and manufacturing ceramic and stoneware tiles, surfaces and products.

Headquartered in Casalgrande, Italy, the brand has evolved over the course of the last 64 years, and now occupies six factories nationally.
