Dezeen Showroom: ceramic manufacturer Casalgrande Padana has launched Tortora, a grey-brown porcelain tile in its Terrae collection that is named after the Italian word for dove.

Tortora forms part of the Terrae range, which was designed by Casalgrande Padana as a contemporary take on traditional terracotta tiles that intends to help users “reconnect with nature”.

Casalgrande Padana has launched the Terrae tile collection, which includes the Tortora colourway

Tortora is characterised by its soft dove grey tone, and can be used for a spectrum of applications both indoors and outdoors, just like the rest of the tiles in the range.

“The timeless appeal of this collection makes it suitable for all areas of the home, offering endless design options for the creation of large areas of colour with a wealth of detail,” said Casalgrande Padana.

They are available for a variety of applications

Tortora Terrae tiles are available in several different sizes and styles, including geometric patterns that “add character and a touch of sophistication to living spaces”.

Their porcelain makeup ensures they are low maintenance, self-cleaning and highly durable. They can also be made with anti-slip surfaces for safe use outside.
